Q 104

Came to SSMarie in the fall of 1989, with wife Pat, initially to work the afternoon-evening beat on CKCY. Soon after ended up doing morning News on Q-104 and within a couple years was promoted to News Director. Prior to SS Marie I'd worked in my hometown of Thunder Bay at essentially all the stations there after taking the Radio-Television Arts Program at Confederation College. My Thunder Bay experience included disc jockey work, Radio-TV reporter/anchoring, feature reporting, sports casting and lots of writing. News is a passion and I find each day a fresh challenge, as cliche as that might sound. But it's true. You never know what stories will surface each day whether it be local, regional, national or international. The advent of the internet has been a tremendous help in finding stories carried internationally that don't always make it to our news wire. We pride ourselves in bringing you the news you need to know, should know and would like to know-each day, 5:30am-Noon Monday-Friday on Q-104.
