Mitsubishi i-MiEV Electric Car
August 30, 2010
People had the opportunity to see -- and experience -- the newest concept car from Mitsubishi Motors, the i-MiEV, or Intelligent Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Car at Boston's.
- Looking inside the back of i-MiEV, the box on the left is actually a computer that makes the car function. On the right, is an AC/DC converter, which converts the AC power from your house into DC energy for the vehicle.
- A look inside the i-MiEV
- A look at the front
- Mitsubishi Events Specialist Andrew Bardwell in the driver's seat of the i-MiEV
- A shot from inside as the i-MiEV is taken for a test drive
- It's not a transmission, it's a shifter -- this controls the amount of electrical energy the i-MiEV uses
- Mitsubishi Events Co-ordinator Spencer Farn (left) and Rogers Radio salesperson Dave DeMarco (right) posing with the i-MiEV
- It looks like a gas filling, but that's a plug charging the car with electricity!
- And from there...
- The i-MiEV is given a 110 volt charge with electricity from the Boston's dealership building. It can be fully recharged in 14 hours -- or just 14 minutes with a quick charge!
